Abortion care should be accessible to all who want it — cost should never be a reason you can’t get an abortion with carafem. We partner with abortion funds to offer financial assistance to those who qualify, and accept health insurance for in-person appointments.
In person appointments
An abortion pill appointment usually takes about an hour, while an in-office procedure visit takes around 90 minutes. Both include blood work, a pregnancy test, contraceptive counseling, and the abortion itself.
Depending on your medical history, an ultrasound may be required — and you’re always welcome to request one if it helps you feel more informed.
You’ll have plenty of time to ask questions and review educational materials with your provider. If you plan to use insurance, please bring a valid photo ID.
